Che stava succedendo? C'era bisogno di prove concrete per stabilire chi avesse effettivamente ragione. Allora mi armai anche io e andai a cercare la bestia...
Pensai bene di iniziare da dove c'erano stati i maggiori numeri di avvistamenti, includendo anche zone particolari (con cordinate che includono nel codice la sigla BF, forse di BigFoot). Mesi e mesi di ricerca, senza dimenticare neanche un metro quadrato di terra, dietro ogni albero, attraverso qualunque fiume, su e giù dal monte Chiliad, a bordo di una moto, di una macchina o a piedi. Ma il mio risultato fu zero. E lo fu anche per chi mi aiutò nella caccia. Niente di niente. Nessun Bigfoot. Eppure eravamo attrezzati con tutto quello che poteva servire, anche visori notturni e termorilevatori. Capimmo allora che la Rockstar aveva ragione. Non c'era alcun Bigfoot. Perchè tutte quelle foto e quei video che ne dimostravano l'esistenza? Semplicemente Mod. Ovvero un file da aggiungere nella versione PC del gioco, che include il Bigfoot e tutte le missioni in cui bisogna farlo fuori. Tutti i video erano stati girati con un Bigfoot scaricato da Internet (e creato dopo tutta la vicenda)per alimentare un mito mai realmente esistito, fondato su bugie e finte prove, forse per un operazione pubblicitaria o forse semplicemente per fare uno scherzo all'intero mondo dei giocatori di San Andreas. Ma nonostante le clamorose smentite, la caccia non è mai cessata. Il mito e il mistero continuano a vivere...
